It’s May, can you bloody believe it?? Anyway summer is on the way (or meant to be) so lets start with creating the perfect beach waves.
Creating The Perfect ‘Beach Waves’.
There are lots of ways to create “Beach Waves” but we want to show you our favourite, with the wand. We also think its the easiest and most effective for you to create at home. Also, most of the tools needed, you will already have at home. We want to keep it simple, so these looks should take you no longer than 15 mins (get the stop watch ready) Here are James and Maya demonstrating how to get the “Perfect Beach Waves”. step 1 – put your parting in
step 2 – section the hair from ear to ear.
step 3 – apply 2 pumps of Davines Oi Oil to the hair to protect from the heat.
step 4 – start wrapping the hair around the wand.( 2-3 inches away from the root)
step 5 – continue this throughout this whole section
step 6 – section the hair from temple to temple and repeat the process in step 4 ( top tip, always wrap hair around the wand away from your face when doing the front sections (anti clockwise).
step 7 – let all hair drop from the last section and repeat the process until complete.
step 8 – apply one pump of Davines Oi Oil to your hands and brush the hair through using your fingers. the oil helps to reduce any frizz created from combing it out and defines the curls. (top tip, don’t be scared to be rough, the rougher your are the beachier the wave.
step 9 – once all the hair is roughly brushed out apply Davines Medium Hold Hair Spray to complete your look and VOILA

Meet Taylor, (pictured above). He’s our new assistant that’s joined the McGill’s Team.

What’s your favourite childhood film? – ‘It has to be ‘Finding Nemo’. I cried like a baby the first time and still do now’.
Your favourite Davines product is? – ‘My favourite product right now is Davines Alchemic red conditioner. Im so shocked it actually colours your hair but leaves it super soft’.
Who’s your hero/heroine? – ‘My hero is Ariana Grande because her voice is unique and she’s a strong supporter of the LGBT community’.
Whats your favourite food? – Definitely, sweet potato fries… I could eat them till I burst.
